Drawing Deliciously

Thursdays, November 1, 8, and 15.

Learn to draw and paint what you see in a fun and expressive way while recording the moments of your daily life. Each week, and each session, will feature different drawing and watercolor exercises, along with practical tips that will encourage and inspire you while developing a creative habit. With weekly sketchbook assignments, you’ll be excited to do your homework. Whether at home or on the go, you’ll soon discover how the practice of keeping a sketchbook journal not only promotes the growth of your art, but, most of all, how therapeutic it is for your soul.

In Session III-Drawing Deliciously. If you love food and love to draw, you will love this session. We’ll celebrate the fall season with a focus on still life with food while learning different techniques to fill your sketchbook pages with mouth-watering art. Find out why this is a favorite subject matter for so many sketchers!

Curious by nature, Nancy Laliberte is a painter who is also a wife, mom, gardener, and avid traveler. Blessed with a busy life, Nancy has found watercolor sketchbook journaling to be a great way to practice art in the midst of the many seasons of life. Wherever she goes, she brings sketchbook, pen, and paints to capture the everyday beauty of the world around her. She has participated in the Sketchbook Project, and her sketchbook is a part of their permanent collection in Brooklyn, NY. Her sketches are also included in the book, A World of Artist Journal Pages by Dawn DeVries Sokol. Her most recent creative endeavor, The 100 Project —100 Days of Nancy Sketches, is currently part of her two-person show, “Insight Out,” at New Visions Gallery in Marshfield, Wisconsin.

An award-winning artist, Nancy loves sharing her process with others so that they, to, may discover the joy of creativity through sketchbook journaling. View more of her work at www.nancylaliberte.com.

If we do not have enough students enrolled to run the class, we may have to cancel twenty-four hours prior to the class meeting. We do not like to do this, so please encourage your friends and/or family to take the class with you!
