different paints work. Experiment with color, shape, pattern and texture.

MONSTER FUN

the dawn of time, people have been inventing monsters. Even today we hear
about the Abominable Snowman, the Loch Ness Monster, and Sasquatch. Stories
tell us about Dracula, vampires, King Kong, Godzilla and the creature from the
Black Lagoon. Lets use our imaginations to discover the monsters in the
closet, create a “Wild Thing” and a movable jointed monster. I, L

This class finds
its theme in the city. Learn a little architecture while construction a three
dimensional Frank Lloyd Wright inspired house. Create a painting cityscape,
and hang out your shingle by designing some “shop” signs like those discovered

It's fun to be out of your gourd! Join Chris Mosse in creating a
wonderfully wacky and wild woman, or man! Construct a whimsical
sculpture. Start with a gourd and add wire, metal, beads, rope, glass,
wood and more. Each figure will develop its own personality as you
work.

Spend five days
exploring your visual creativity while learning digital photography. Most
of our time, we’ll be in the field taking pictures. Students will choose

Explore drawing
through outdoor experiences (weather permitting). Look at and draw objects
& nature on location. Students will do thumb nail sketches and turn them
into finished pictures that can enhance your walls (graduating from the
refrigerator!). Drawing on location develops new skills & observational

TILE TRIPTYCH

A triptych is a set
of three related pictures that are hung or mounted together as one. Ours
are made of tile, brightly painted, glazed over and set into a wooden
frame. Your design is limited only by our imagination. E, F

ENCAUSTIC - wax painting

If you like to try new things, this class is for you! Encaustic, or hot wax
painting, comes to us from ancient Greece. Our version uses common
materials and adapted techniques not available in the past but retains the
vibrant colors and intriguing textures of the originals. Come with a

BEADED CUFF BRACELET

Create an
eye-catching beaded bracelet. Try this basic method for making a simple cuff
bracelet frame. Customize the design by changing the frames width and shape.
Fill your bracelet with beads in rows aligned closely together or loosely
angled across the frame.
NATIVE WOODLAND POTTERY - meskwati
Sat, June 5

Learn traditional
Woodland Indian grit tempered pottery in the Meskwaki styles. Make
vessels by the paddle and anvil method, a technique used by the Woodland
Indians. Do an open air pit firing and see how indigenous peoples cooked
in these pots. Sample the results.

one-day workshop and opportunity to draw or paint outdoors. Included: tips on
plein air painting, plenty of time to draw or paint, individual help and a
friendly critique at the end of the day. Instructor will do a watercolor demo
