*All registrations must be received prior to class start date. Registrations may be made over the phone, in person or through mail.
Payment must accompany registrations. Registration fees will be refunded if the CVA cancels a class. If you cancel, refunds will be given 10 days prior to the 1st class, less a $5 processing fee. No refund will be given if you cancel within 10 days. Photos may be taken for promo; your permission is assumed unless you notify us.

Photo Encaustic Two Day Workshop
with Clare O'Neill
HS/Adults: July 12th: 10-5pm
July 13th: 10-4pm
Registration: $280 plus $30 mtl fee to Clare
space limited to 12 students
Take your photographs to new dimensions and creative possibilities by learning to work with your photograph
and encaustic techniques. This alternative photographic
process uses the mixed media of hot wax and pigments to enhance your images, taking them from photographs to
objects of art.
This workshop will bring you through the basics of working
with your photographs and encaustic. We will explore adding images at different stages, at the beginning or during the
process of adding layers of wax.
This course will cover paper use and selection, mounting techniques and materials, encaustic pouring and painting techniques, glazing, scraping, image transfers, stenciling, imbedding objects, and adding texture and color to
the encaustic process.

Glass Fusing Series
with Ann Jaroski
HS/Adults: June 13, July 26, or Aug 15
Time: 6-8pm
Registration: $14 plus $9 mtl fee to Ann
In class students will learn how to cut clear/colored
glass and layer them for effect and design.
Your peices will be fused in the instructor’s glass kiln.
Upon return, you will be able to wear your completed designs!

Color Theory Through Watercolor
with Dawn Flores
 
HS/Adults: Saturday, Aug 3
Time: 10-4pm
min of 6 students required
Registration: $68
Whether you are just starting out or have some
experience with watercolor, this class will help you
masterfully mix color, no matter what your medium
or level of experience.

Colored Pencils & Acrylics
with Dawn Flores
 
HS/Adults: Saturday, Aug 17
Time: 10-4pm
min of 6 students required
Registration: $68
The layering of colored pencils and acrylics is a
fantastic technique for building up soft textures, sharp
edges, and rich colors. Drawing from colorful photographs
or still-life objects of flora and fauna, we will explore the techniques used to take colored pencils a step beyond
their traditional use.
