The Art of Wine

Thank you to all who attended The Art of Wine on Saturday, October 8th, 2011.  It was a wonderful event and we were so pleased to have each of you!

If you didn't order any wine from the Art of Wine on Saturday, you still have the opportunity!  Select your favorite wines and drop off the order form at the CVA by Friday, October 14th. Cash or Check payment upon pick up at Downtown Grocery.  Stock up for all your birthdays, anniversaries, and other wine occassions for the year!  Remember, these wines are sold at below retail cost and your wine order supports the CVA!  

What you missed if you didn't make it to the Art of Wine...

Coming back as a fall fundraising tradition; CVA presents the Art of Wine event on October 8th, 6–9pm. Tour the world through wine and food. Over 40 wines, rarely available in Wausau, served with accompanying foods of regional flavors from South America, Europe, California, Pacific Northwest, and Wisconsin. Taste your way through our galleries and studios in a relaxed atmosphere while you take in our exhibits. It is the social event of the fall!

Think you know the difference between Cabernet and Pinot Noir; Riesling and Pinot Grigio? This year we will feature the Blind Wine Taste Test. Choose either reds or whites and correctly identify the varietals for a chance to win a fabulous wine prize package. Our Color! exhibit will provide the perfect “palette” for your evening, whether red or white is your thing.

City Grill at Jefferson Street Inn will be cooking up regionally focused delicacies like European Scallop Ceviche, Pacific Smoked Salmon Canapés, South American Empanadas, and a California-style Caprese. After a long trip around the world, land back in Wisconsin for our state’s famous dessert wines and some sweet bites.

All proceeds will support the operations of the CVA, a 501(c)3 non-profit, so we can continue to provide the greater Wausau area with exceptional programming, year-round. Show your support while you taste the world!
