Current Happenings at the CVA

July 12 - 13

The City Square in downtown Wausau will once again be transformed by artists and their colorful pastel art drawings.  This is the 5th year for this sidewalk art festival which is for artists of all ages and levels of ability to participate and for art enthusiasts to observe and enjoy.

ChalkFest Wausau will be held two days, Saturday, July 12, from 8am to 8pm and Sunday, July 13, from 8am to 4pm. Participants are encouraged to pre-register to reserve a spot by 5pm on July 9.

Check-in for participants will be from 8-noon on Saturday at the festival headquarters located in the City Square.  Organizers will be available to show you your assigned space and provide you with registration materials.

Reserved spots will be released to other artists at noon, unless the committee is notified in advance to hold the space beyond that time.  Drawings can be worked on until dusk. No lights will be provided.

The CVA Gift Gallery is open Tuesday through Friday, 10am - 5pm.  Saturdays noon - 4pm.

Note: Memorial Day through Labor Day 2008 the CVA Gift Gallery will be closed Sundays.  Wednesday hours will be extended to 7:30pm starting June 25th.
