Piece by Piece, a quilt comes together, combining textiles and held together by stitches. For this exhibition, we have brought together a selection of contemporary makers to examine their different approaches to quiltmaking and the use of quilting techniques. Displayed alongside, representations of quilts in other mediums; to explore how the artist can use the visual language of the quilt to connect with the viewer.

𝗝𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗿: Masako Onodera

𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁: Artists manipulate metal, stone, and glass to change their physical state, the form the materials take before us. This juried exhibit highlights the mediums Metal, Stone, Glass, and the various ways artists manipulate the materials to create their artwork.

About the Caroline S. Mark Gallery

The Caroline S, Mark (CSM) gallery, often referred to as the Main Gallery, hosts the CVA’s premier juried art Show Midwest Seasons. The CSM gallery also Exhibits the juried show Roots and a number of group and Solo shows throughout the year. This gallery space was formally the alley between the historic Valley Trust Bank building and the Grand Theater, and still features the original brick walls. The gallery has two street level sets of doors, the main entrance sits on the 400 block of 4th street and at the back of the gallery offers access to the garden patio exiting to Scott street.
