Common Threads: A Community Weaving Project

Common Threads: A Weaving Community Project showcases the collaborative artwork of ArtVenture Campers and the Center for Visual Arts' classroom students. The project is rooted in intentionally finding ways to connect with one another: welcoming and inviting others in, actively reaching out, and making space for belonging within the community. Through the collaboration of students, instructors, staff, artists, and volunteers, the programs create environments where participants can find their place and feel they belong. Emphasizing connection and collaboration, we hope to collectively grow and uplift the Wausau Regional Community; this pop-up exhibit demonstrates how that message permeates all throughout the CVA.
