36th Annual Midwest Seasons

Midwest Seasons is a competitive exhibit presented annually at the Center for the Visual Arts since 1990. Original artwork draws inspiration from Midwest impressions and activities - the sun reflecting off the lake, the fresh scents of spring awakening, the warmth of one's hat and scarf during a snowfall, or the crisp changes as nature goes dormant in autumn.

Searching for the Sacred ~ Thomas Moberg

Searching for the Sacred is an exhibition of plein air landscape paintings by artist Thomas Moberg, which examine how beauty manifests on a day-to-day basis for people in the American Midwest. This work is informed by Thomas’s upbringing in Central Wisconsin, which imparted him with an affinity for rural landscapes, a sense of environmental consciousness, and a perspective that centers the experience of the working class.

Flight of Fancy ~ Craig Clifford
January 7th - March 14th, 2026
Flight of Fancy is an exhibition featuring the ceramic work of artist Craig Clifford that is inspired by nature and the garden. Clifford’s pieces feature birds and butterflies immersed in bright colors and explosions of blooms and images. His colorful ‘fancy’ pieces bring together a collage of images and color that reference flight and summer gardens in the format of complex ceramic vessels.

WVAA Member + Memorial Show
January 7th - February 14th, 2026
The Wisconsin Valley Artist Association was formed in 1951 with the purpose of promoting the arts by bringing lectures, exhibits, and workshops to the area. WVAA raises funds to further Art Education through scholarships and grants to area schools, organizations and for individuals to attend art workshops. The WVAA is a non-profit organization open to all interested professional and non-professional artists, crafts people, students and patrons of the arts, as well as art enthusiasts.
This year, WVAA celebrates 75 years as an organization and 49 years of the Member Memorial Show.
