Exhibit Dates:
July 20 - September 16, 2018
(The exhibit will take place during the second International WI Ginseng Festival and the Wausau's Artrageous Weekend events)

The "ROOTS - The Growth from Within" exhibit is open to artists over the age of 18.
An artist's artistic, geographic, and cultural roots play significant roles in their
artistic process and statement. The exhibit will highlight original fine art inspired
by an artist's perspective of their "roots" and artistic journey.

Interpretations of the theme may be broad and entries
are not limited to representational works.

JUROR: Lynn Zetzman
Zetzman has spent thirty-three years teaching art K-12, (the past twenty five as the Fine Arts Chair at
Xavier High School in Appleton, Wisconsin), she taught Art Methods for Lawrence University from
2009-2014, and is currently the director of the Aylward Gallery, UW-Fox Valley. She received
Japan Fulbright Memorial Fund Master Teacher awards in 2002, 2004, 2005. In 2007 she
received a Fulbright Hays to Morocco. Her own studio practice has remained vital
with representation at the Anne Nathan Gallery in Chicago.

Private collectors include the Basilica of St. Mary in Minneapolis. For 17 years she
directed 40-100 people in giant parade puppets with auxiliary features she
had created with student volunteers as part of Wisconsin's largest evening
Holiday Parade the Tuesday before Thanksgiving winning numerous awards.

CVA Vault Gallery Exhibit

International WI Ginseng Festival
September 14,  15, and 16, 2018

The Wausau/Central WI CVB and the Center for the Visual Arts is accepting poster designs
for the second International WI Ginseng Festival. We invite you to submit poster designs
for the "International WI Ginseng Festival Poster Contest Exhibit" taking place in
the CVA Vault Gallery. Designs can be broad ranging from the ginseng root,
to the fields, workers, food, and more!

International WI Ginseng Festival Poster Contest Awards

1 - $1,000 GRAND PRIZE
(along with 20 poster prints & one framed print)

1 - $600 FIRST PLACE
(along with one framed print)

1 - $300 SECOND PLACE
(along with one framed print)

- 150 PEOPLES CHOICE
(along with one framed print)

The Grand Prize wining poster will become the property of the Wausau/Central WI CVB
and the CVA. It will be the official artwork for the second International WI Ginseng Festival's
merchandise and marketing materials. Artists must be 18 years of age.
