Just for the Art of It

What event has art and auctions? Raffles and games?
Appetizers to entrées? And is more fun than any benefit event that you
have ever attended? Of course! It’s the CVA’s annual Just for the Art of
It!
An annual occasion since 1991, Just for The Art of It is the CVA’s major
fundraiser. Over the years it has outgrown one venue after another (The
Wausau Club to The Country Club). And each successive event has a twist
that keeps the party interesting. This year, Bar-B-Que King Larry
Raymond, Greenwood Hills’ Kerry Fitzgerald, Diane Shabino’s Watercolor
Pet Portraits, Jim Gantner from the Wausau Woodchucks, A Night on the
Town from Van Dalfsen’s /Mino’s, Bruce Conard from Cellar 70 at Trig’s
and Harpist Linda Cannon are on the live aution block. You’ll see art in
action as jeweler Tasha Tatro and woodworker Roger Zimmermann make art
before your eyes! And 8 local personalites have collaboted with 8 area
artists to create 8 unique pieces of art. Be there to make your live
auction bid on work by: Chris Mosse/Jillian Janikowski; Valerie
Berkely/Judy Lombard; Stacy Kole/Dave Kalloway; Roger Zimmermann/Jim
Rosenberg; Ray Mickevicius/Jim O’Connell; Garrett Arnold/Duane Erwin;
Randy Verhasselt/Jane Janke Johnson; and Lisa Stahl/Bill Coady. And, of
course, the evening again includes Rockman Caterings’ Grande Artiste
Buffet.
Get your tickets ($30) now for the Friday, May 9 event in here at the
