Rug Hook and Finish a Decorative Pillow (October 7 & 28)

Rug Hook and Finish a Decorative Pillow (October 7 & 28)

$140.00

Dates: Wednesday, October 7 & 28

Time: 11:00am - 1:00pm

Instructor: Linda Raether

In this class, students will use templates to design a 14 in x 8.5 in decorative pillow. The instructor will bring a large selection of templates like traditional circle and square patterns, a simple plaid, and various shapes and animals/plants. Student can also bring along their own design. An entire spectrum of wool fibers, many hand-dyed, will be available for students to choose from as they complete their designs. After the first class, students will leave with a completed design, all the wool needed to hook the pillow, and a good start on the hooking.

Students bring the hooked pillow front to the second class, in which they learn to check their work and prepare the work for finishing. Then students will learn several different methods for finishing their pillow. The instructor will be available for assistance as needed in the interim.

This is a great class for beginner and intermediate rug hookers.
