Imagery on Clay w/ Meghan Sullivan (October 18)

In this one-day workshop, students will learn various surface techniques to add imagery on clay. Using mono printing, sgraffito, and inlay on clay tiles and curved forms, students will explore composition and image development. The workshop will be informative and fun. Students should bring photos or patterns that they want to put on their work. Once the firing process is complete, we'll notify you that your finished projects are ready to be picked up.

All supplies included.

Instructor Bio: Meghan Sullivan received her BFA from the Massachusetts College of Art and her MFA from the University of Nebraska. She is a ceramic artist whose work explores ideas of our shared humanity through narrative and figurative sculpture. She has exhibited nationally and internationally. Sullivan has been an artist in resident in many studios, including Mudflat Studio, c.r.e.t.a. Rome, Studio Shiro Oni in Japan, and the Skopelos Foundation for the Arts in Greece. She has taught at the Gulf Coast State College, Pacific University, and is currently an Assistant Professor of Art at Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin.
